El Sierra Club aplaude la aprobación por parte de los demócratas de la Cámara Baja de la transformadora Ley para Reconstruir Mejor o Build Back Better (BBB) del Presidente Biden, una legislación histórica que actúa finalmente sobre temas como el clima, el cuidado infantil, los empleos y la justicia, y nos impulsa hacia la meta presidencial de reducir la contaminación climática a la mitad para 2030.

Joe Manchin (WV) told reporters he supported including gas plants in the Clean Electricity Performance Program (CEPP) that is part of President Biden’s Build Back Better Act. Sierra Club opposes government investment in polluting gas plants, which would undermine the climate and public health benefits of the program while saddling consumers with higher energy costs.
