The Senior Program Coordinator will work with Philadelphia Climate Works to develop and advocate for climate justice policies that reflect the shared goals of environmental justice communities, labor advocates, environmental allies, and other coalition partners. The Coordinator will also work with the coalition to build support for racial, climate, environmental, and economic justice throughout Philadelphia.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $60,000 and includes excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as a retirement savings 401(k) plan.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate impact on racial, economic, and climate justice economic initiatives and have experience leading coalitions consisting of diverse stakeholders working towards shared goals. 

Formed in 2015, Philadelphia Climate Works (PCW) is a coalition of community groups, labor unions, environmental advocates, and individuals working together to advance equity, justice, and resilience as the foundation of a safe climate future for Philadelphia. PCW supports policies that unite and support communities fighting climate change and toxic pollution, workers fighting for good jobs, and people of color fighting racial injustice. Key priorities of the coalition to date include supporting sanitation workers and other frontline workers, advocating for just transportation policies, and electrifying the city bus system. Learn more about PCW.

Looking ahead, this coalition will be increasing its work on building electrification, housing repairs, weatherization, and other interventions to reduce energy consumption and costs to Black and low-income Philadelphians. Read the full job description to learn more.
