Why Conservation?

Conservation

Conservation is the prudent stewardship of our natural resources, rooted in the understanding that the Earth's ecosystems are delicate and finite. It embodies a commitment to preserving biodiversity, protecting habitats, and mitigating human impact on the environment.

We have separate Issue Committees for each conservation issue so that it allows for focused attention and expertise on specific environmental challenges. Each conservation issue, whether it's habitat loss, plastics pollution, climate change, or Bay ecology, is complex and requires tailored strategies and solutions. By creating specialized issue committees, our volunteers can draw on the knowledge and experience of volunteers with expertise in that particular field.

All report to the Conservation Committee to share knowledge and grow collegially because Conservation is a collective responsibility to safeguard the beauty and vitality of our planet for generations to come.

All our meetings are open for interested members to ask to join or simply to observe.
