The company is slashing EV production plans by a third by 2026, decreasing its goal from 1.5 million to 1 million. Toyota, which currently only has one fully electric vehicle for sale in the U.S. but has engaged in heavy greenwashing in its marketing, using the phrases “Beyond Zero” and “electrified” for vehicles that still run on fossil fuels.
