“This YouTube video is riddled with outright falsehoods, inaccuracies and distortions about the Sierra Club, clean energy, and climate activism. Disappointingly, the makers of the video chose not to contact the national Sierra Club, or even do a simple search for our recent statements or opinion editorials on basic policy matters.
“The Sierra Club is the largest and oldest grassroots environmental organization in the country, with over 3.8 million members and supporters. Our policies and work are directed under the guidance of an all-volunteer Board of Directors democratically elected by our membership. The Sierra Club’s advocacy for a 100% clean energy economy aligns with our 127 year old mission to explore, enjoy, and protect the planet, and we are committed to seeing it through.”
