All 5 of the candidates for open seats on our LVG Executive Committee (ExCom) have won their seats. Four of the five incumbents were seeking re-election.

Matt MacConnell – LVG Chair and Conservation Chair. Leads conservation projects on PM2.5 and water quality in the Lehigh River and tributaries. A licensed Professional Engineer and Technology Manager at Air Products.

Al Wurth – 40+ year SC member and bike commuter, 30+ year Lehigh U political science professor, current political chair.

Brian Hillard – Climate action and social equity advocate, working towards effective and equitable climate and environmental actions that preserve our future for generations to come.

Marilyn Jordan – PhD Ecologist, retired from the Nature Conservancy. Active in climate change issues and ecological restoration. She joined SC in 1969 and became secretary of the LVG in 2018.

Laura Navitsky – B.S. and M.S. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering, experience in stream restoration as engineer with Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability and as PA Fish and Wildlife Service intern, Climate action volunteer and environmental justice and Indigenous rights advocate.

The results of the election will be announced on Jan 20, 2022.
