The Delaware River Basin, including its tributaries, spans approximately 13,000 sq miles throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and New York. The river plays a vital role in supporting the region’s drinking water supply for 15 million residents, in addition to the economy, public health and local wildlife populations. This essential regional resource continues to face new and ongoing challenges every day from water pollution and flooding impacts to industrial development and fracking pressures. By working collectively, we, as residents of the Delaware River Watershed, can have a measurable impact, and improve the water quality and habitat for present and future generations.
