Jim Wylie

Jim WylieI have been the chair of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Sierra Club since January, 2020 – my first term as an at-large delegate. It has been a challenging 2 years, but I think the Chapter has improved with a new Digital Tools Help Team, 8 new Chapter Conservation Teams and improved engagement with group leaders.

Over the last 10 years I have held roles as group chair and conservation chair, political co-chair and web admin. My passion is advocating for clean energy and mentoring 5

Ready For 100 teams in the greater Philadelphia area.

I look forward to working with the chapter ExCom during 2022 – we will need to support environmental leaders get elected and reelected in state and national races.

Dave Hemberger

Dave Hemberger

As a current at large delegate, I am eager to renew my commitment to serving in a leadership role with the PA Chapter.  My involvement with the Chapter began with the political program, where I have been Chapter political chair for the past 8 years.  I also chair the Kittatinny group’s (Berks and Schuylkill County) executive committee.  Outside of the political program I take an active interest in various conservation issues such as waste reduction, alternative energy, public transit, and the protection of avian species.  This year I participated in the PA Master Naturalist program, and hope to use my volunteer training in better serving the environmental needs of my community and local group.  I also serve on the local school board, where I am able to introduce ideas that promote the district’s growth in environmental stewardship.
