Last year, Governor Wolf made voting more secure and convenient by signing Act 77, which among other things, created a new option to vote by mail.

The COVID-19 crisis makes this option more important than ever and we want all qualified Pennsylvanians to take advantage of voting by mail. Here's how:

First, You must be registered to vote in order to vote by mail-in ballot.

Mail-in ballot applications for the June 2, 2020, primary election must be received by your county election office by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

Apply online:

You can apply online at VotesPA.com/ApplyMailBallot

Registered voters can apply for a mail-in ballot online with a valid PA driver's license or photo I.D. from the PA Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

Apply by mail:

Download and print a mail-in ballot application:

Other options:

  • You can contact your county election office directly to request a paper application.

  • Or you can contact the Department of State to request an application by emailing ra-voterreg@pa.gov or calling 1-877-VOTESPA.

Once your application is accepted, you'll get a mail-in ballot with instructions from your county election office.

The deadline to return your voted mail-in ballot, either in-person or by mail, is 8 p.m. on election day.

Please protect yourself, your fellow Pennsylvanians, and our democracy by taking advantage of voting by mail.

Yours in the fight for clean air, drinkable water, and livable communities,
