Visit Local Groups

The Oklahoma Chapter is divided geographically into three local groups. Groups are the smallest geographic units of the Sierra Club, and each group’s volunteer leadership and individual members are critical to ensuring that we know what’s going on in our neighborhoods, parks, and streets. Groups also help us stay up-to-date on issues facing our city councils, school boards, and other decision-making bodies.

Each of the Oklahoma Chapter’s three regional groups is represented by an Executive Committee. Group Executive Committees respond to issues contained within their region and advise the Chapter Executive Committee on issues that have impacts beyond group borders. In addition, group Executive Committees organize outings and educational programs and make endorsement recommendations. Find out what group you’re a part of and learn how you can get involved below:

Cimarron Group (Oklahoma City and Northwestern Oklahoma)

Green Country Group (Tulsa, Northeastern and far Southeastern Oklahoma)

Red Earth Group (Norman and Southern Oklahoma)

All three Oklahoma groups meet on the fourth Thursday of each month.
