Electrifying Metrobus Fleet Would Save Money, Reduce Pollution

A report from the Sierra Club finds that the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority is far behind other major transit systems in transitioning from dirty diesel buses to clean electric buses that reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants that have major health consequences. The report found that clean electric buses would save Metrobus millions of dollars in fuel costs.
