Energy Efficiency Targets Improve in Maryland

Congratulations to the Sierra Club's Maryland Chapter and the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) for successfully pushing the Maryland Public Service Commission to adopt ambitious new energy efficiency targets for Maryland's electric utility companies going forward.  The new PSC rules require Maryland's electric utilities to be 2% more energy efficent each year.  For further details, listen to NPR article at http://wamu.org/news/15/07/20/new_efficiency_targets_in_maryland_energize_environmental_advocates.  Perhaps this ruling opens a door to establish similar requirements for the District.
