Washington, DC earned third place among park-friendly cities, in the annual ranking released by the Trust for Public Land, a national organization that advocates for parks in neighborhoods across the country. The report states that 97% of DC residents live within a half-mile of a park, and that ease of accessibility and the quality of the city's parks pushed us to near the top. Minneapolis and St. Paul tied for first. See http://parkscore.tpl.org/rankings.php for further details.
