On May 8, the DC Department of General Services (DGS) announced that it will be deploying cutting-edge technology that manages heating and cooling systems to reduce energy consumption. BuildingIQ’s Predictive Energy Optimization platform combines data analytics with machine-learning predictive energy tools to monitor building management systems in real-time, tracking and analyzing energy use. This technology will help DGS better understand its energy use in District buildings and make small changes imperceptible to inhabitants that will add up to enormous savings in both energy and dollars.
