Amid the multiple crises we face—from the pandemic, to the deterioration of our democracy, to the climate disasters that are forcing people to flee their homes—Sierra Club’s Massachusetts’ Chapter has shown up every single day, working to build a stronger, more coordinated and deeply resilient climate justice and environmental protection movement.

What do we do here in Massachusetts?

We push for a just transition to an equitable clean energy economy.
We advocate for efficient, clean transportation for all.
We work to reduce toxic pollution and to move toward zero waste.
We fight back against threats to our communities' health and environment.

Sierra Club understands that the crises of income inequality and climate change are inextricably linked. This is why we are an avid supporter of the THRIVE Act and RENEW New England, based on three essential pillars:

1) Tackling the climate crisis and toxic pollution

2) Creating good, high-paying jobs

3) Fighting racial, economic, and gender inequity

Climate justice and racial justice are also inextricably linked, and the Massachusetts Chapter is dedicated to being an actively anti-racist organization.
