About the Juniper Group

Dedicated to preserving Central and Eastern Oregon's environment, natural resources, and quality of life.

The Juniper Group encompasses most of Central and Eastern Oregon, including Baker, Crook, Deschutes, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Malheur, Morrow, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, and Wheeler counties.

The Executive Committee is based in Bend and many of the Group's activities are in the Bend area. However, we have many volunteers throughout central and eastern Oregon who are ardent about environmental, recreation, and conservation issues. Look at the Take Action page and you will see many issues from the Ochoco, Malhuer, and Umatilla Forests, and from BLM lands throughout the area. We hope the information on this site will make you a better-informed citizen and inspire you to join us.
