Now more than ever, you're needed to stand up for our environment and the issues of clean energy, water, air and land that affect us all. By volunteering with the Sierra Club's Central Ohio Group, you join a group of passionate people who are making a difference both locally and nationally.
We need volunteers in these areas:
Conservation
Interested in conservation issues within Central Ohio such as clean water, energy, sustainable practices, transportation, clean-ups, agricultural management, wildlife, forestry or wetland protection? Contact the Conservation Chair to let us know your volunteer interests and how you might like to become involved helping our Conservation Committee.
Communications
The pen is stronger than the sword, but only if you use it. Do you enjoy writing or editing? Our communication group is actively looking for people to write articles, proofread the newsletter, update our website, and post information on social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Google+). If this sounds interesting to you, please contact the Communications Chair.
Political
Do city council meetings and public hearings get your motor going? Then the politicial committee is the perfect place to jump into the Sierra Club! We aim to inform and meet with our local and regional leaders about our environmental concerns and priorities. During election years we evaluate key political races to determine possible endorsements. These cover City Council, County Commissioners, as well as House and Senate races. Contact the Political Chair for more information or to sign up!.
Outreach
Do you enjoy engaging people in conversation? Then join us at festivals and green events this year, as we educate the public to support local environmental issues. Help us battle environmental injustice! We need people to table, organize events, and perform tasks. Email cog.volunteer@sierraclub.org to sign up!
