The Hudson County Group, in alliance with The Coalition to Ban Unsafe Oil Trains, is actively working to stop the passage of “oil trains” through densely populated areas of Hudson County. The trains carry highly flammable “Bakken Crude” oil from the tar-sands oil fields of Alberta, Canada. There have already been multiple oil-train derailments in several places causing  multiple fatalities. The most notorious of these derailments was in Lac Megantic, Quebec.
