Many Chapters of the Sierra Club are broken down further into local Groups. New Hampshire no longer hosts Groups.
Letter from the NH Chapter Executive Committee:
The NH Sierra Club is moving forward on a path to more effectively utilize volunteer and staff efforts. The first step in this process was completed by a unanimous vote of the NHSC Executive Committee and formally disbanded the Merrimack, Monadnock, Upper Valley and Seacoast Groups as sub-entities of the New Hampshire Chapter. This will reduce administrative overhead and bureaucratic burdens, freeing our volunteers to work on the issues that matter most-climate change and a just transition to clean energy. Further, the Chapter applauds the implementation of the national assessment and the Board of Directors resolution for workplace equity and professionalism intentionally centering chapters to be more integrated with the National Sierra Club’s conservation efforts and build a stronger movement.
