The New Hampshire Sierra Club is launching an initiative to improve our communications with our members and supporters, and finding out the best ways to reach them!
The NH Chapter has over 20,000 members and supporters across the state, but many of them do not hear from us on a regular basis and are not aware of what we do. It is very difficult to reach a large portion of our membership because we do not have accurate email addresses for them, and fewer and fewer people are answering their phones. We have a social media presence (find us on facebook and twitter), but that only benefits those who are already following us.
The solution is to update email addresses for as many people as we can, and get more people signed up to receive texts from us. Texting is a very effective way to invite people to events and let them know about issues, and is much less labor intensive than making calls.
We need your help to let more people know about Sierra Club events and initiatives, and to improve our contact data so that we can do it even better! To get involved, please email NHSC603@gmail.com or call 603-224-8222.
Volunteers are needed to:
- Make phone calls
- Use the Hustle app to text
- Contribute to our monthly e-newsletter
- Do data entry
- Plan events
- And more! How would you like to help?
By providing your email and/or mobile number you consent to receive email, cell phone and text communications from Sierra Club, the Sierra Club Foundation, Sierra Club PACs and Chapters concerning news, action opportunities, and other important information. Text STOP to opt out. No purchase necessary. (expect 4 msgs/mo).
More ways to communicate -- Write A Letter to the Editor!
Writing letters to your local newspaper may feel outdated but in fact it is an important public forum about urgent topics.
