Chapter and Group Executive Committee Election Results

to all the candidates and everyone who took the time to vote.  The Maryland Sierra Club Election results for chapter and group executive committees have been tallied and finalized.  The results are below.  Unless noted otherwise, all terms begin 1/1/2024 and end 12/31/2025.

Maryland Chapter

There were 3 ExCom openings and the winning candidates are Teresa Ball, Jane Lyons-Raeder and Daniel Jacobson.

Anne Arundel Group

There were 3 ExCom openings and the winning candidate is Louise Taylor.

Catoctin Group

There were 4 ExCom openings and the winning candidates are Jan Rubenstein, Kerri Hesley, Kathleen Rall and James P Wagner.

Greater Baltimore Group

There were 5 ExCom openings and the winning candidates are Marie LaPorte, Rich Norling, Denise Davis, Beth Jarrett and *Atara Bernstein (tie vote determined randomly)

Howard County Group

There were 5 ExCom openings and the winners are Carl Latkin, Victor Levi, Patricia Soffen, Ruth Alice White and *Aria Ma (write-in candidate)

Lower Eastern Shore Group

There were 3 ExCom openings and the winners are Pat Trate, Kathryn Masten and Jacky Grindrod.

Montgomery County Group

There were 5 ExCom openings and the winners are Karen Metchis, Rich Mandel, Linda Schade, Mark Posner and Carrie Witkop.

Prince George's County Group

There were 7 ExCom openings and the winners include Kathleen Bartolomeo, Lily Fountain, Janet Gingold, Tyrah Cobb-Davis, James Lawson and *Nicole Jackson (write-in, will serve 1 year term). Write-in candidates Tanara Bowie and Nick Orrick declined to serve.

Southern Maryland Group

There were 5 openings in the southern Maryland ExCom and the winners are John Posey, Julia Nichols, Sandra Gwynn and Ashley Cobaugh.

Washington County Group

There were 2 openings in the Washington County ExCom and the winner is Michael Brandt.
