The Maryland Chapter of Sierra Club always needs volunteers! Our organization is different from many other environmental groups in that most of the work is done by volunteers, supported by a small number of paid staff. We want to protect the environment in Maryland and we can't do it without you.
If you want to stay close to home, contact your local Maryland Sierra Club Group.
You can also join a 1 hour volunteer orientation (posted on the Calendar)
Also, here are some specific positions that we currently need:
Help Elect Environmental Champions
This year’s election is our opportunity to elect federal and Baltimore City officials who will shape our direction for at least the next decade. We can elect officials who will take real action on climate change and environmental justice, move from dirty fossil fuels to clean renewable energy, protect forests and natural places, and promote zero waste.
You can help! Join other volunteers who are campaigning in person or from home. Opportunities include leafleting, social media, phone calling, texting, and letter writing. To join our effort please contact the Political Chair, Rich Norling at rich.norling@mdsierra.org.
