Please join us in welcoming Paula Posas, our new Deputy Director for the Sierra Club Maryland Chapter!
Paula is coming to the Sierra Club at a very unusual time, and her range of skills and experiences will be a huge asset to us. In this role, Paula will play a central role in guiding the Chapter's work on communications, conservation campaign management and strategic planning. Paula will be helping us with internal coordination and external communication around the Covid-19 crisis.
Paula has over 15 years of experience addressing environmental challenges and climate change in academic, non-governmental, and international development bank contexts. She currently serves on several boards of directors (school, library, community arts organization) and is active in the local community. Paula earned BA (environmental sciences and policy), MS (interdisciplinary ecology), and PhD (urban planning and impact assessment) degrees from Duke University, the University of Florida, and the University of Liverpool.
