SANTA BARBARA COUNTY

Sat., April 23 2022 - Earth Day celebration,  Downtown Santa Barbara.

This year, Community Environmental Council hold its 2022 Earth Day celebration in one day, Sat., April 23, at the Arlington Theatre, and we'll be there. Climate Leadership is the theme starting at 10am with a Chumash blessing followed by short films, poetry, a recycled fashion show, an environmental hero awards presentation and a climate leadership summit. Visit the Sierra Club Santa Barbara Group anytime from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. along with dozens of other other exhibitors under the Arlington's beautiful outdoor foyer.  An Electric Vehicle show will take place from 10 - 5 p.m. in the Arlington's rear parking lot. Thousand Oaks:

Saturday April 9, from 9am – 1pm, Arbor and Earth Day Celebration combined: Thousand Oaks Community Center (next to T.O. High School 2525 N. Moorpark Rd., Thousand Oaks).

The City’s annual Arbor Earth Day celebration returns after a two-year hiatus. This year’s event will include an electric vehicle display area where the public can see and ask questions about various EV models, educational workshops on healthy soils, electric vehicles, bicycle safety course & helmet giveaway, bicycle donation/collection, drought tolerant gardening, kids activities, compost and plant giveaways, raffles, and more. This Earth Day, officially April 22, the Sierra Club -- alongside our partners in the broader movement -- will be having online events and rallying in the streets in cities and towns across the country. The club is partnering with Sunrise Movement, the Green New Deal Network, SEIU, and other climate justice, labor, and progressive movement partners to host a nationwide mobilization to crank up the pressure on local and national elected representatives to meet the crises we face by investing in climate action, care and clean energy jobs, and justice.
