Support the Sierra Club’s Los Padres Chapter by becoming a Sustaining Member today. All it takes is pledging $20 a month or more to support our local chapter.
When you become a member of the Los Padres Chapter Sustaining Member Circle, you join a dedicated group of donors who serve as the foundation for the chapter’s advocacy and conservation work. The steady flow of income provided by the Sustaining Member Circle keeps the chapter’s focus on this advocacy, outreach, and growth because we know our monthly expenses will be covered by your recurring contributions.
Our local work in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties has resulted in numerous victories, shared with a network of other like-minded environmental groups. Examples include an excellent record in winning local political offices, advocacy for the flora and fauna of the region, and programs to lessen climate change ranging from renewable energy, electric vehicles, and fossil-free new buildings. We are also heavily involved in promoting outdoor opportunities for all ages and a robust ethic for diversity. Sustaining Member Circle donors allow our chapter to be more nimble in the preservation of wildlife and wildlands, as well as in the fight for environmental protection in our local communities. We need at least 50 new members in the first half of 2021 to sustain our critical environmental advocacy in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. We can’t do this work without the help of our volunteers – and through the support of Sustaining Members. Los Padres Chapter conservation efforts depend on your support. Every dollar you donate stays here in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties to help us transition away from fossil fuels and to protect rivers, forests, and wildlife that depend on us.
