If you worry about how your city or town will address climate change, don't think about getting to "net zero" by such and such a date. Try achieving a 1% reduction city wide each year. If every city and town reduced their carbon dioxide emissions by 1%, the total reductions of all towns and cities would be far greater than the total reductions of your net zero town. Then next, do another 1%. Eventually we'll get there.
