We said NO to Navigator's CO2 pipeline
The Navigator pipeline was proposed to connect ethanol and fertilizer plants in Iowa to a pipeline leading to Illinois where the CO2 would be stored underground.
We let Navigator know that we did not want Navigator's pipeline. And our strategy worked. Oct. 20, 2023, Navigator cancelled its Heartland Greenway carbon dioxide pipeline project.

The Navigator pipeline was proposed to connect ethanol and fertilizer plants in Iowa to a pipeline leading to Illinois where the CO2 would be stored underground. The Boards of Supervisors from counties across the state wrote letters to the Iowa Utilities Board objecting to the pipeline project and telling the Board to deny the use of eminent domain for the pipeline projects.
