Guide Edna Alexander from the Great Rivers Chapter of the Illinois Audubon Society took a group of birders to a variety of places within Beaver Dam State Park on September 17th to look for migrating songbirds and other perching birds. Edna shared information regarding the habits and characteristics of birds as well as helping participants identifying birds visually and through song. Participants enjoyed exploring the area and its history as well as looking for birds.
