About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to put an end to the environmentally destructive timber industry practice of clearcutting and other forms of even-aged forest management. These logging methods result in unnatural plantation tree farms that increase wildfire danger, and harm our water and air quality, our wildlife, our climate, and our communities.

Together, we have the power to reform California forest management oversight by state agencies and permanently protect Californian forests and communities from clearcutting.

Since the Stop Clearcutting CA campaign’s inception approximately one decade ago, our team has been dedicated to providing critical resources about the clearcutting problem, magnifying community and ally voices, and building towards an end to clearcutting.

Our grassroots campaign is a center for collaboration and information for organizations and individuals dedicated to protecting the health of our forests. We work with partner organizations to educate the public, oppose harmful Timber Harvest Plans, and advocate for alternatives to clearcutting for the long-term sustainability of forest ecosystems throughout the state.

With your help, we can stop clearcutting in California. It’s time to disrupt harmful logging practices that exacerbate climate change and intensify wildfires.
