Susannah Randolph

Susannah Randolph
Chapter Director

Susannah first joined the Sierra Club in 2017 as Senior Campaign Representative for the Beyond Coal campaign in Florida. During her tenure, she built the most diverse campaign team in the country to reignite the effort to move Florida beyond coal and fossil fuels.

Prior to Sierra Club, Susannah served as Florida Political Director for ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), and Executive Director of Florida Watch Action. In addition to advocating for voter enfranchisement and anti-poverty policies, her extensive social justice and equity work has focused on uniting and mobilizing Floridians against politicians’ anti-middle-class agendas, resulting in statewide successes such as the Awake the State and award-winning Pink Slip Rick campaigns.

 

Javier Estevez

Acting Political Director


Born and raised in Miami, Javier brings a wealth of operative and legislative experience to Sierra Club Florida. He previously ran for Florida State House in 2018 and served his local party as both Legislative Liaison and Campaign Chair from 2019-2021.​​​​​

 

Jessica Wisdom

Jessica Clark Wisdom
Development Director

Jessica has nearly two decades of experience in fund development, management, and communications within nonprofits, government, political campaigns, and committees. Her extensive career spans various prominent organizations including Obama for America and Obama Victory Fund, Democratic National Committee, Charlie Crist for Governor, Bill Nelson for Senate, NRDC Action Fund, Alliance for the Arts, Family Initiative and the City of Cape Coral. A native of Florida and a graduate of the University of Central Florida, Jessica is committed to social and environmental justice, equity and access, and effecting positive change throughout her home state. 

 

Leslie Pearsall

Leslie Pearsall
Communications Director

Leslie has served as Sierra Club Florida's Communications Director since 2022 and brings more than a decade of communications and marketing experience to her role. She received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a concentration in International and Comparative Politics from Appalachian State University in 2012 and is currently based in St. Petersburg, FL.

 

Cris Costello

Cris Costello
Senior Organizing Manager

Cris has been organizing for the Sierra Club since 2007. In her role as Senior Organizing Manager, she is responsible for the Chapter’s Our Wild Florida campaign, which encompasses efforts for everglades restoration, red tide, Stop The Burn-Go Green, and wildlands. Prior to Sierra Club, Cris worked as a grassroots organizer across several states, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras, and spent 17 years as a union organizer and negotiation specialist. She holds a B.A. from Grinnell College in Iowa.

 

Brooke Alexander Goss

Organizing Manager

A native Floridian, Brooke joined the Sierra Club in 2019 as an Organizer with Florida’s Ready for 100 campaign. Now a manager, she currently oversees all of the FL Chapter’s clean energy and transportation work in the state, while helping to support the overall work of the Florida Chapter. 

Prior to joining the Sierra Club FL staff, Brooke worked in politics, spending most of her career working on political campaigns, and within several positions for the Florida Democratic Party. Brooke lives in New Smyrna Beach with her husband and their absolutely adorable cats.  She enjoys the beach, traveling, and pretending she has gardening skills.

 

Patrick Ferguson

Senior Organizing Representative
Stop The Burn-Go Green Campaign

Patrick has been with the Sierra Club since 2016. As Senior Organizing Representative, he has helped build the Chapter’s Stop the Burn-Go Green campaign into the nationally recognized, grassroots-led environmental justice movement it is today. Prior to joining the Sierra Club, Patrick was actively involved in private general practice and local environmental activism, and founded the non-profit FloVolution, Inc. He is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University School of Law and the Catholic University of America, and currently resides in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

 

Jyoti Parmar

Organizing Representative
Clean Energy

Jyoti joined the Sierra Club as an Organizing Representative in 2022 and has focused her work on utilities, federal clean energy funding, environmental justice, and community organizing. Jyoti is a serial social entrepreneur, having started and successfully built two social justice organizations, including North Central Florida Indivisible. She also brings extensive management and corporate business experience to her work. She lives in Gainesville with her husband, child and cats. 

 

Marcelo Balladares

Everglades

Marcelo has lived in Miami for almost his whole life and has long been passionate about protecting our environment and our communities in the face of the climate crisis. He received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Florida International University in 2021. Prior to joining the Sierra Club, he organized for climate and environmental justice with the youth-led Sunrise Movement in Miami and advocated for the protection of our state and national parks with members of his community in Miami-Dade, Tallahassee and D.C. He is currently based out of Miami, FL.

 

Michael McGrath

Michael McGrath
Lead Organizer
Red Tide-Wildlands Campaigns

Since joining Sierra Club Florida in 2019, Michael McGrath has been a dedicated advocate for Florida’s natural resources. As Lead Organizer for the Chapter’s Red Tide and Wildlands campaigns, he advances public advocacy for water quality, wildlife protection, and land preservation. He led the No Roads to Ruin coalition, stopping the M-CORES toll roads and Northern Turnpike Extension, and continues to champion conservation efforts like protecting the Florida panther and restoring Florida’s springs. In his free time, Michael enjoys biking, paddling, pickleball, camping, and cooking.
