The Sierra Club Palo Verde Group Sticker Design Contest

Calling high school artists! The Sierra Club Palo Verde Group Sticker Design Contest is open!

The Palo Verde Group (Phoenix area) of the Sierra Club Grand Canyon Chapter is inviting high school student artists from across Arizona to showcase their talents by submitting a design for stickers that will be distributed to attendees at our events.

The chosen designs will be printed on a 2 ½”-3” square or circular sticker. Designs should be submitted via this form at the best-resolution image file you can produce electronically. The design and design tools are at the discretion of the artist, and the themes are below. If you draw original art (as opposed to a computer design tool) the best option is to scan it and save as a file, rather than photograph the art.

There will be 3 designs chosen, one from each of the themes listed below. Entries will be limited to only one entry per student and it is up to the artist to choose which one of the 3 themes to use. The submissions should be original art and content should align with the values of the Sierra Club. Please do not use any existing Sierra Club logos.

  • Protecting Arizona Wildlife
  • Water is Life
  • Promoting Environmental Justice

Submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm on on April 5th 2023

The 3 winners will be selected by the Palo Verde Group Board, with each member casting one vote - with one winner for each theme. Each designer of the winning entry will receive a $100 gift card for their artwork, a one-year membership to the Sierra Club, and recognition on social media, our website, and in the summer edition of the Canyon Echo, our Grand Canyon (Arizona) Chapter newsletter. Those who submitted the winning entries will be contacted on April 14 and announced on Earth Day.
