Welcome to Sierra Club Alaska!
Alaska is truly the Great Land: from the vibrant tundra plains of the Arctic to the productive wetlands of the Yukon-Kuskokwim delta in the West, from the vast forests and tall peaks of the Interior to the ancient Tongass and mighty fjords of Southeast. Sierra Club Alaska works to ensure a future as great as the land itself. We are working to shield Alaska from the mentality that has drilled and logged and developed away much of the open spaces in the Lower 48. We are striving for an Alaska based on a renewable energy economy, healthy communities, and preservation of our wild places. Find out how you can connect with other Alaskans, learn about current threats to our state, and help support the work of the Sierra Club.
Want to get more involved in The Sierra Club and join a group of environmentally-minded Alaskans who are working to protect the lands we all love? See below for the open positions on our Executive Committee!
Whether you’re looking for an outdoor adventure, an opportunity to meet like-minded people, a chance to influence elected officials, or something to do on a Saturday afternoon, this SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES is your guide to Sierra Club events throughout Alaska.
