Local Outings

Conservation outings are how we explore, enjoy, and protect the Commonwealth. We ramble through state forests in search of lost oil and gas wells; explore our nearby nature in urban areas by bike and foot; venture into the hollers of Southwestern Pennsylvania to see the impacts of the longwall mining and natural gas industry; and witness the beauty of -- and the threats to -- some of the Commonwealth’s largest unfragmented forests.

Through conservation outings, Sierra Club volunteers connect people with the places worth protecting.
