This week, Conor Mullen will wrap up his tenure as a SCWY organizer. We will miss him dearly! Read Conor’s farewell note, in his own words:
After three years of working as a conservation organizer, the time has come for me to say goodbye as I take the next step with my commitment to the environment and our communities.
Starting later this month, I’ll be working full time as a freelance artist-organizer, taking on projects that center creativity as a core element of building movements and making a difference. The knowledge and skills I’ve gained at Sierra Club will undeniably enrich the work I’m gearing up for, whether that be in a piece of community-informed public art, some eye-catching and informative campaign materials, a mural at a local outdoor retail shop, or an artwork that makes someone’s home feel more like home. I found my way to conservation and activism through the arts and it feels timely to bring it all together under one roof.
To our supporters, colleagues, collaborators, and volunteers - I thank you for your commitment to the movement! If you’d like to stay in touch, please send me a message at cmullenitover@gmail.com and I’ll keep you in the loop!
