"If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world, and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day."
E.B. White
When you are in the mood to enjoy the world, please consider doing it with us.
Helping people get outside to enjoy Wyoming’s spectacular, natural places is a critical part of our mission. People protect what they know and love, and there is so much to love about Wyoming’s wild landscapes. Our guided day hikes and camping trips range from easy to rigorous, and from sagebrush lands to badlands to high peaks. The focus of our hikes varies – some are issue-based, some have themes such as bird-watching, archeology, geology, and photography, but all are for just plain enjoying the outdoors. All Sierra Club outings follow leave no trace guidelines. All events are free and open to people of all ages, including children. Non-members are welcome. (Please note that dogs may not be allowed on some trips, particularly in bear country.) Participants will be asked to RSVP and sign a standard liability waiver. Please check our calendar below for upcoming events.
