Four Lakes Group [FLG] of Sierra Club includes Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Green, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Rock & Sauk Counties
- Join the FLG for some tree planting projects this spring! Many of us live in homes or neighborhoods with lots of trees, but others do not. Trees and shrubs provide beauty, shade and cooling and respite from the hot sun, and help battle climate change by taking in CO2 and providing oxygen. They also help remove pollutants and clean the air, and provide visual and noise screening.
- For 2023, we are making plans for:
- Fitchburg Planting projects on park/public land partnering with Fitchburg Parks Department. Dates: Fri April 21 & Sat April 22 (note 4/22 is Earth Day) & Fri April 28 & Sat April 29 (note 4/28 is Arbor Day)
- We’re looking for volunteers to participate in tree planting projects. By participating, you’ll learn about different trees and how to properly plant and care for them while improving local communities and the planet. It's a great activity for families and volunteers of all ages, so if you’d like to help, email Jake at jake@paradymeproductions.com.
