Enbridge’s proposal for a new segment of the Line 5 pipeline (built back in 1953) puts our water and wetlands at risk, In addition to violating treaty rights and reinforcing old habits of relying on fossil fuel infrastructure. Today you can make a difference by strongly rejecting the Line 5 pipeline in your comments. Here are two simple ways to have your voice heard.
-
Submit a comment on the Wisconsin’s DNR’s dEIS (Draft environmental Impact Statement) by April 15th! The current draft significantly underestimates the threat to our environment as the new line would affect our water, wetlands, wild rice, and climate! Furthermore the dEIS does not acknowledge that the proposal violates treaty rights of Wisconsin Tribes. Submit a comment to the DNR telling them that the impact analysis is inadequate by April 15th.

Submit a comment to the Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE). This opportunity is rare to provide public feedback to a federal agency on the special individual permit that Enbridge would need to move forward with the Line 5 pipeline. Tell ACOE today that the Line 5 pipeline is too dangerous for Wisconsin and protect our wetlands. Submit a comment to the ACOE’s request for public input by March 22nd.
