Celebrating Wisconsin food, drink and grassroots activism

We can’t wait to virtually gather with you on Tuesday, May 11th from 6:30-8PM Central to celebrate the important grassroots work of our Chapter through delicious local Wisconsin food and drink. Climate and our food system are inextricably interlinked. One of the greatest ways we can support healthy food systems and a healthy climate is by purchasing food made from local ingredients from local sellers. We’ll be hanging out with special guests Kirk Bangstad of Minocqua Brewing and David Payne of Potter's Crackers who will let us in on what it means to be purveyors of local deliciousness and share some tasty tid-bits. Plus, rounds of trivia will test your knowledge about the Chapter’s work!

Potter’s Crackers will give a food pairing demonstration that will make your mouth water and we’ll be connecting the dots between those ingredients and Sierra Club’s dedication to clean water, transportation and clean energy. Participants will receive a special collection of recipes compiled by Sierra Club volunteers.

Building strong communities is also key in fighting the climate crisis, and food is an incredible way to do that! So, please join us for this tasty, entertaining event. Admission is free, and there will be opportunities to donate throughout the evening as we track progress toward our goal.
