We are excited and eager to participate in The Big Share hosted by Community Shares of Wisconsin, starting at 6pm on Monday, March 1st through the end of the day on Tuesday, March 2nd. On Tuesday from 11:45 to 1pm, we are hosting a special Facebook Live event featuring a premiere of a volunteer-created storybook video, trivia, and interesting conversations, and a gift-matching opportunity! We hope you willl join us to learn more about our story, which will also be available on our Facebook and Youtube pages after the power-hour event.
The Big Share is a powerful, 36-hour, online fundraising event hosted by Community Shares of Wisconsin. Nearly 70 local non-profits all striving towards a safe, sustainable, and equitable Wisconsin will benefit from this day of giving alongside Sierra Club Foundation. We are strongest when we come together. Everything is interconnected — each of the nearly 70 participating non-profits have different missions, but each is a different piece of the puzzle. This is an opportunity for the people of Wisconsin to rally around organizations doing critical work to better our community in ways that will benefit everyone.
We hope you will consider supporting our Chapter during The Big Share. Our volunteers generously offer their time, expertise, and relentless dedication to protecting Wisconsin’s natural environment, and your donations will help fund their critical work! From working to increase access and protection of our public lands to towards halting dangerous mining proposals, from advocating for the grey wolf and other wildlife to halting tar sands pipelines, our work touches every corner of our state. The Big Share is the perfect opportunity for you to do your part and play a critical role in ensuring we are able to continue fighting for a safe and sustainable Wisconsin. Join us tomorrow for the premier of our story, and please support us during The Big Share -- our work would not be possible without you!
