2018 People’s Climate Rally and March: Rise for Climate, Jobs, and Justice
Join us for the 4th annual People’s Climate March! This year, instead of one giant march in New York or DC, there will be marches across the globe, including five events in Wisconsin. Join us at one!
Join us in Southeastern Wisconsin as we call for bold climate action, racial and economic justice, and more! Our planet, livelihoods, and democracy are under attack - it’s time for bold leadership to reclaim our future. We’ll call for We Energies to go coal-free and for Milwaukee to adopt a plan to get to 100% clean energy with a jobs program that ensures the jobs created stay in the most economically distressed neighborhoods. We’ll also call to solutions to the lack of transit access, lead pipes, and more!
Join us at 1:00 PM
Zeidler Union Square
Over 40 organizations are putting on this event, including 350-Milwaukee, Citizen Action, Milwaukee Inner-city Congregations Allied for Hope (MICAH), Our Wisconsin Revolution-Milwaukee, and more! If you’d like to volunteer at the event, sign up here.
Appleton, Monona, and Minocqua: There will be events to demonstrate support for clean energy! Come here Sierra Club John Muir Chapter Director, Bill Davis in Minocqua and Fox Valley Group Chair, Al Lawrence, in Appleton. There will also be a street theater event in Madison !
Check out the full list of events here. It’s also National Drive Electric Week with events in Greenfield, Eau Claire, Appleton and beyond! Between the two, you have no reason not to find an event to attend to make a difference!
