Appleton

Join the Pringle Nature Center Work Day on Saturday, April 28 from 9 am – noon at Bristol Woods County Park.  Help remove invasive plant species from Bristol Woods County Park. Eau Claire

La Crosse

The Coulee Region Sierra Club will be conducting their highway clean up in conjunction with the Earth Fair's La Crosse River Marsh cleanup day! Meet at 9:00 at the city water well building just west of the intersection of County Highway B and River Valley Drive north of Myrick Park. Wear old clothes and bring work gloves. Orange vests and garbage bags are provided. We’ll work for an hour to 90 minutes. After the cleanup, we can head for Myrick Park for the free lunch for marsh cleanup volunteers. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System Act and the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act! Join Alan and Diana Lawrence for a leisurely hike around the Fox River in urban Appleton. We will hike a loop of approx. 4 miles on pavement. Meet at 9:30 and be finished by late morning. In earlier years industry occupied the river and transformed it with locks and bridges. Now the river is part of the Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Water Trail and serves the public and wildlife.

Level: Easy

Cost: Free but registration required.
