Now in its fourth year, The Big Share is a single day of online giving hosted by Community Shares of Wisconsin to raise funds and support for nearly 70 grassroots nonprofits working social justice and environmental protection here in Wisconsin. The Sierra Club-John Muir Chapter is a proud longtime member of Community Shares of Wisconsin and we urge our supporters to take part in The Big Share on March 6. You can donate to Community Shares of Wisconsin at https://www.thebigshare.org/organizations/community-shares-of-wisconsin.
Last year, The Big Share raised $322,028 from 2,799 donors, many of whom gave to participating organizations for the first time. Across its first three years, The Big Share has raised over $800,000 for Wisconsin-based causes including the Sierra Club.
“The Big Share is a day to come together in support of the things we all care about—having clean water and air, building strong neighborhoods, protecting our civil rights, and making sure every child has a great future,” said CSW Executive Director Cheri Dubiel. “And The Big Share makes it easy to make a difference—whether that’s giving a small donation, attending events, or sharing about your favorite causes on social media.”
The Big Share is made possible thanks to presenting sponsor Madison Community Foundation. Further support is provided by long-standing media partners the Isthmus, 105.5 Triple M Radio, and WKOW 27 TV.
