Legislators are making critical decisions right now about protecting threatened mature forests. Ask them to conserve mature forests and buy other lands for economically impacted rural counties, using Climate Commitment Act funds in the supplemental budget. This is an opportunity to combat both the impact and causes of the climate crisis.
Edmonds Marsh Cleanup Ecology Meeting

The Department of Ecology is currently working on its final clean-up plan for the Unocal Edmonds site. Ecology needs to hear from the public that we want all contamination removed to prepare for restoring the Edmonds Marsh to a functioning estuary.

Watch this recording of Dr. Chad Hanson exposing the Forest Service's false narrative about protecting Giant Sequoias. In a recent Sierra Club Forest Protection Forum, Dr. Hanson proves with photo evidence that wildfires are essential to survival for the Sequoias and that the Forest Service management approach enriches the timber industry while killing the trees.
The Environmental Protection Agency has announced the publication of a draft testing method that will enable government agencies, Tribes, and other groups to determine where and when the salmon killing chemical 6PPD-quinone is present in local stormwater and surface waters.
