A founder and leader of the Puget Sound Caucus, Denny Heck has devoted a great deal of energy towards elevating the need for Puget Sound recovery at the federal level. He is one of the authors of the Puget Sound SOS Act, which would enhance federal investment in Puget Sound recovery. He has also introduced legislation on “green stormwater infrastructure.”
One of Washington's post-redistricting congressional freshmen, Rep. Denny Heck has been a consistent supporter of a wide array of environmental issues. He is a co-founder, along with Rep. Derick Kilmer, of the Congressional Puget Sound Caucus, whose priorities include preventing pollution from urban stormwater runoff and protecting and restoring habitat. Sierra Club is proud to support Rep. Heck and look forward to a continuing working relationship.
