The November election is only weeks away! Soon, voters locally and nationally will make decisions that will affect our environment, climate, and public lands for decades to come. And each election season, the Sierra Club makes endorsements for candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to conservation and the protection of our air, water, and wild places.
As well-known science educator Bill Nye "The Science Guy" recently said, one of the best things we can do for our planet is to vote. "To be sure, recycle the bottles, don't throw the plastic away [and] compost your compostable things. Start there," Nye said. "[But] if you want to do one thing about climate change: Vote."
The Sierra Club and Range of Light Group have endorsed the following candidates:
Kermit Jones, a candidate for Congressional District 3
Tim Robertson, a candidate for Senate District 4
Kody Jaeger, a candidate for Inyo County Supervisor District 3
