Where is Kore Mining drilling at Hot Creek?
Why are they drilling there?
The Range of Light Group answered those questions in a presentation Monday night, May 3. Last month Kore Mining submitted a Plan of Operations to the Inyo National Forest requesting to drill on the north side of Hot Creek across from the Hot Creek Ranch. Exploratory drilling projects are often considered low impact and approved shortly after a 30-day public comment period. However, this project has many unknowns and will impact the environment. We feel there should be an environmental review step. Please write them and ask for one.
