Sierra Club locally and nationally is concerned about issues of the environment including conservation, sustainability, the climate and social issues that affect all of us.
Community Involvement
Through our programs such as ICO we work locally to clean and protect the environment while introducing young people to the wonders of nature.
We actively participate in talking to, writing to and visiting our representatives on environmental legislation. Read about the legislative issues we are confrontng by visiting the Tennessee Chapter Legislation page.
We address Climate and Science issues through informative programs and by participating in meetings, hearings and demonstrations. Read about our recent activities on the Climate and Science page.
Environmental Justice
Sierra Club considers the health and safety of our communities to be vitally important. To that end, we are also deeply concerned about issues of Social Justice and those things that affect the well-being of our families, our neighbors, our community, and our nation. Be sure to check in on our Environmental Justice page to see how we are involved and consider joining us in these activities.
Tennessee Issues
Many of the issues facing us are large, covering the state of Tennessee and often the nation as well. Please take a look at the Issues Page on our Tennessee Chapter web site.
The Tennessee Chapter of Sierra Club is joining with Southern Environment to petition the EPA to protect our Tennessee waters. Click here to learn more about TN Water Way of Life and to add your voice to the petition.
