Shannon McClellan will be giving us a basic overview of where TN got its soils and geology, why the regions are different, and why it's important to understand the geology of our state if you are interested in environmental issues. She graduated with a BS in Environmental Engineering Technology with a minor in Sustainable Studies from Murray State University. Currently, she is an Environmental Protection Specialist 2 at Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, working out of the Nashville Central Office, where she has experience in water and wastewater discharges for municipal and industrial facilities per NPDES permit writing. For more than 4 years, she has been working in state and federal permitting for TVA (past experience) and TDEC(current), as well as remediation sampling, investigation, and environmental site assessments with a private consulting firm as an Environmental Engineer. She enjoys hiking, climbing, caving, and traveling in her free time.

Sierra Club has asked us to continue presenting programs virtually until is is safe for us to resume in-person events.

Due to the increased number of COVID cases, this presentation will only be viewable via ZOOM.
A video of the program will be available on YouTube soon after the presentation.
