Joanne Logan, a MTG member, has recently retired from the faculty as an Environmental Scientist in the College of Agriculture at the University of Tennessee. She is honored to share with you some of the lessons she learned while working on various projects related to what she terms "Climate Smart Agriculture'' (often referred to sustainable or regenerative agriculture, but hopefully she can convince you that the climate aspect is really special). Many recent documentaries teach us that the "soil can save us", but how to scale up such a philosophy to large-scale farming is tricky at best, but not impossible. She will help to answer the question of how we can be sustainable and yet still feed the burgeoning world population. And the most important question of all: How do we get traditional, conservative farmers to buy into a novel way of farming? Can the soil really save us?

Sierra Club has asked us to continue presenting programs virtually until is is safe for us to resume in-person events.

Due to the increased number of COVID cases, this presentation will only be viewable via ZOOM.
A video of the program will be available on YouTube soon after the presentation.
