Stewart Clifton speaking about key environmental actions of the General Assembly

Stewart Clifton has been an active participant in state and local public policy-making process in many ways over the last few decades: as an interested citizen, an attorney representing clients with issues impacted by legislative and administrative bodies, and as a registered lobbyist for persons and nonprofit groups.  In addition to representing Tennessee Conservation Voters for the last several years, he represented the Sierra Club Tennessee Chapter in the late 90’s, and has been a Sierra Club member for over 30 years.

The look forward to the upcoming state legislative session will include a discussion of recent changes in legislative leadership and the possible impact on future legislation.  In addition, Stewart will offer a summary of the key skills needed to successfully advocate for the environment with state executive and legislative decision-makers.
